SCION’S JOURNEY TOWARDS A SOLID TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
In 2021, the SCION community started discussing the SCION specification at the Internet Engineering and Research Task Force (IETF/IRTF), led by the Standardization Committee, aiming to create an open, comprehensive core SCION specification. This effort is driven by four key reasons:
