Q3 2024 Open source update
This quarter brought several key advancements. Notably, the long-anticipated dispatcher removal is set for the upcoming release, following its successful merge just days after the previous release.
We also achieved a significant 15% performance improvement in the router. The migration of the control plane to Connect RPC has officially begun, with the first changes being merged from the development branch.
In addition to these highlights, we’ve made a range of ongoing improvements, including code quality enhancements, closing API gaps, process optimizations, and addressing minor specification compliance issues—two of which were identified through formal verification efforts.
All of these updates will be part of the forthcoming “Rooterberg” release, expected within the next week.
We are also excited to welcome two new contributors: @mseewer, @GioBar00
