SCION roundtable: Protecting critical infrastructure in Benelux

Fresh impressions from the first-ever SCION roundtable in the Benelux region

SCION is all about community – and we’re positive the roundtable held on January 30th was just the first step in building a great ecosystem in the Benelux region. Here’s why.

1) Group of forward-thinking leaders openly sharing ideas

Organised together with Anapaya at the GÉANT office, this gathering brought together leaders from the finance, government, energy, and healthcare sectors, as well as some of the biggest service providers in this geography.

The discussion moderated by Martin Bosshardt, CEO of Anapaya, was dynamic to say the least – with an open exchange of ideas between all the participants.

2) Great speakers telling the story of SCION

After our Advisory Board member and host, Klaas Wierenga, CTO at GEANT, gave a warm welcome, SCION inventor and Professor at ETH Zürich, Adrian Perrig; and our co-CEO, Nicola Rustignoli, provided an overview of the SCION technology and its deployment across critical infrastructure. The user perspective was shared by Cornelius Dorn, Head of Strategy & Architecture at SIX, who discussed the Secure Swiss Finance Network developed by the Swiss National Bank.

3) SCION available in Benelux NOW!

Jesper Kühl, Anapaya’s Senior Business Development Manager, closed the roundtable by announcing that Odido Nederland, Varity BV, and Proximus NXT Luxembourg are now SCION-enabled, providing SCION connectivity in this region TODAY!
