Lucerne, June 30, 2026 – We’re pleased to welcome André Helfenstein, Chairman of SIX, who succeeds Thomas Wellauer, and Stefan Bechtold, ETH Associate Vice President IP Policy, who takes over from Vanessa Wood, to our Board of Directors. We would like to sincerely thank Thomas and Vanessa for their unwavering commitment and valuable contributions over the past years. At the same time, we warmly welcome André and Stefan to the Board and look forward to working together to shape the future of the SCION ecosystem.André brings strong expertise in the financial sector, having served on the SIX Board of Directors since 2020, while Stefan brings experience in the Internet and telecommunications policy space, including knowledge of SCION from his past research.
Our Board, which now includes Chairman Martin Jetter, Vice Chair Ueli Sigg, Reto Francioni, UBS Europe Chair, Thomas Moser, Observer from SNB, and Andrea Maechler, Observer from BIS, will continue to provide valuable input into the strategy and direction of SCION, while also helping strengthen connections across key industries and institutions where collaboration is essential.We look forward to continuing working together to promote the adoption of SCION globally.
